The SaaS model is founded on a centralized cloud platform. It involves:
- Centralized Hosting: The provider creates and stores software and information on the servers, information databases, and connecting devices.
- Subscription-Based Access: The clients will pay according to month or year usage. They are not the owners of a lifetime license and the subscription will allow them to have access to the software.
- Internet-Dependent Delivery: The program is Web-based that is normally accessed in a web browser. It does not need any locally installed complex functionality; etc. and a bare application on your desktop or telephone can work on other occasions.
- Shared Infrastructure (Multi-tenancy): multi-tenant has a shared infrastructure that is normally used by most SaaS Platforms. Suppose it is a massive apartment building (the platform) with all tenants having their personal and locked-up apartments (their data). Every individual uses the same variant of the software and the data of a tenant is confidential, safe and autonomous. It is easy to grow and less expensive to operate because majority of the customers will be found using the same platform.
- Automatic Updates & Maintenance: All the maintenance, software updates, patches, and hardware maintenance is carried out by the SaaS. The automaticity of the updates allows the users to possess the most recent features without the need to have to do a clicking on an update pop-up.
